2011! T’was a slow blogging/internet existence compared to previous years, but a lot of other pretty neat things were accomplished:Moving out on my own into my own apartment for the first time! Yes, yes, it was for one month before my wedding, but freedom and such! Planning a wedding in 5 months, then actively participating in subsequent marriage. Both enjoyable! Both time-consuming! Starting my first job as a Speech-Language Pathologist and am now just clocking in a year of finally being paid being in the workforce. Being told by the parents at work that their kids leap out of bed in the morning to get ready to come to their session, building train sets and legos all day, using an iPad with the kids, and being charmed by 4-year-old boys telling me “Hi, Ms. Daiya, I like yo dwess”,  is worth the energy, y’all. The latter has some ways to go in his articulation skills, unfort. Side note: To the little ones who didn’t get an x-box for Christmas: According to a 5-year-old kid at work, Santa doesn’t make them, so the wish was for not (high-five to his money-savvy parents).
